Travel Tennis a Great Game for a Long Journey

I discovered Travel-Tennis completely by accident when I found myself sitting and waiting at Gatwick Airport in London for a delayed flight, and the man sitting next to me was playing a strange game I hadn't seen before with his children.
There was a lot of noise and laughter, and eventually I asked what they were doing with cards and a dice that was so much fun. The little boy said they were playing tennis, and it was great that he could beat his dad at something, because he was only ten.

They asked me to join in, and I found the rules easy to understand, and there seemed to be a basic game, and an advanced game.
Just like real tennis, I was able to serve, volley, play ground strokes, hit passing shots, and lobs, and to my surprise I found it as exciting as his children did.

I could see the tennis game wasn’t like you could buy in the shops, but it turns out, that it is due to be released very soon indeed. The father told me he had invented the game one day when he was thinking of a way to play tennis when it was wet and cold, and he had decided to try to sell it to other people.

They let me play the more advanced game, and suddenly I was playing shots everyone thought was impossible, playing drop shots, hitting Aces, being foot faulted, serving lets, and even net cord winners.

We only played one set, which took about half an hour, then my plane was called, and I walked away wishing I could take the game on holiday with me to help pass the time on long plane journeys.

I kept thinking that it was so refreshing to see children playing an old fashioned type of board game, and not having their noses buried in a computer or game boy.
After my holiday I did some research online and found http://www.travel-tennis.com in Google after searching under Travel Tennis. I’m planning on buying it whenever it is released
